This might seem obvious, but you will be surprised what some people think is obvious and what has actually happened! So why not check through the list.
- Plan your route - why not do a test run, print off your maps, double check the address.
- Remember whom to ask for.
- Check the interview time, get there early, never being late.
- If you are late call the agency, we will keep the client posted and make your excuses so you can do your bit when you arrive.
- Best business dress; Go suited and booted, your best-polished shoes, a nice non garish tie, no cartoon ties please, nothing too bright, iron your trousers or skirt, shirt or blouse.
- Clean your teeth put on your deodorant.
- Think through the qualities required for the job.
- Think ahead, do your preparation - there are some tips on how to prepare and some example questions on this site. Have you looked at their website?
- Highlight your strengths.
- Write a checklist.
- Reiterate that you want the job.
- Think of some questions, write them down and take them with you to the interview.
- Ask if there are any reasons why you might not get the job, ask for specifics that you might be able to overcome face to face.
